November Recap

Hello All~!

November started out with some really beautiful weather before it got super rainy (picture below). Most of the early month was spent preparing for our Seattle trip. Derek picked up the rental car on Friday. We took a mini-trip to Cottage Grove and saw some pretty covered bridges. Then, on early Sunday morning, we drove up to Seattle. We met Sandi at her hotel and went to Pike Place Market before heading to Dan and Denise's for a delicious turkey dinner. Then we went up to Bern and Verna's, who were our gracious hosts for the week. The next day we tried to go on a Boeing tour but couldn't complete it because of weather. We went through Mo Pop--the Museum of Pop Culture--and looked at cool Jim Henson characters as well as neat horror and fantasy stuff. The next day we saw the Fremont Troll and the Chihuly Garden and Glass. Then we went back to the Boeing tour, which was very interesting. We came home to an affectionate Dinah--she missed us so much! We enjoyed walking around Amazon Park and then prepared for Thanksgiving dinner. We wrapped up the month with some major cleaning projects and addressing holiday cards.

October Recap

In October, we had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa the weekend after my birthday! It was great to have them see our home and show them around town for a bit. We had dinner at Grandpa's favorite Shari's restaurant.

We also visited Lone Pine Farms for a fall adventure. It was raining pretty hard and really muddy but still a lot of fun. We went through a huge corn maze, saw some farm animals, and picked out a pumpkin from the patch for our jack-o-lantern.

We watched several Halloween movies: Coraline, Paranorman, The Halloween Tree, The Addams Family, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. To go along with the movies, we had an assortment of fall treats!

And now, pictures!
